RE: Transfer of athlete
Your letter dated August, 2023 and was brought to my attention and I have sought counsel from Steering Committee members with respect to the issue you raise regarding the players who have transferred from TEAM A to TEAM B.
Per the TAIAO rules, it is my obligation to process your request and inform you of the actions which have taken place and the processes which are underway to address these concerns.
With respect to the transfer of players from TEAM A, I have contacted TEAM B and have asked them to begin the process of securing the necessary transfers. Per the TAIAO rules, these transfers are all deemed to be “late transfers” and will require Steering Committee approval to be accepted past the transfer deadline.
At the current time, TEAM B has not filed the necessary forms. TEAM B’s
leadership have been notified that this must be rectified soon or the Steering Committee will take action.
As you pointed out, the transfer process will require your organization to approve the transfers. No TAIAO team can add additional players past the sport roster deadline. If the transfers are not approved by the Steering Committee, TEAM B players who transferred from TEAM A will not be allowed to participate
in TAIAO sanctioned events (which are our postseason play, tournaments and events).
Furthermore, it is within the purview of the Steering Committee to impose further sanctions on TEAM B.
