Dear TAIAO Members,
Fall sports are wrapping up and we are still registering for basketball, soccer and E-ports. Please take the time to review some of the changes, successes and setbacks in this monthly addition.

Commissioner Update:
This was the first time for our fall sports to adapt to the new guidelines put in place last January. For the most part, organizations adhered to the new guidelines which included registering online, submitting rosters and sending in payment by TAIAO set due dates.
Some programs found themselves on the outside and unable to participate as a result of the strict deadlines; however, the net result were profitable volleyball and cross country postseason events and what looks to be a profitable football season.
Part of the stricter budgeting was to curb expenses where possible and I went too far in not following the lead of the Volleyball Committee on tournament management software at the regionals. The result was much confusion which could have been avoided with better software and will be in the future.
We are still finding areas where we can improve so as to ensure we get the best facilities, officials etc.; however, our costs keep increasing. As we continue to grow, more will be required of our TAIAO administration to help us stay within budget parameters.
Reminder to all organizations, please visit the website for updated information on postseason events. We do not have the ability to communicate directly with all your coaches across high school and middle school events. It will continue to be the league policy to communicate with the email address that is provided to us when you register your teams for a sport. Please be sure the name and email address provided is the person best suited to disseminate sport specific information.
Finally, our Steering Committee has green lighted One Act Play (OAP) and E-Sports to our current list of events. We are partnering wth TCAF for (OAP) and our E-Sports will provide regular season management as well as a postseason tournament. Learn more on our website under the “Sports” tab.
God Bless … Coach Golemon

We rely upon the expertise of our committee members to help us through some of the pitfalls which come despite best efforts to avoid them.
