Dear TAIAO Families,
Â
I hope this communication finds you well. I wanted to reach out to provide some clarity regarding the scheduling of our upcoming track meet, which is set to take place on Good Friday.
Â
We understand that holding an event on this day may not be ideal for many of you. The decision to schedule the track meet on Good Friday came about due to unavoidable conflicts with other spring sport venues in the two weeks leading up to and the week of the holiday.
Â
Additionally, our homeschool organizations informed us that they would be unable to participate during those times due to a large homeschool meet, which further limited our options.
Â
After careful consideration, we were left with three choices: proceed with the track meet this week on Good Friday, cancel Middle School participation and hold the varsity meet on Thursday or reschedule it to a weekend when we were informed that more than 50% of participants would not be able to attend. To ensure the greatest possible participation, we opted to hold the event on Good Friday.
Â
Moving forward, we recognize the importance of avoiding conflicts with significant holidays like Easter week. We are committed to working diligently to ensure that future TAIAO events are scheduled in a way that respects these times and accommodates as many participants as possible.
Â
Thank you for your understanding and support as we navigate these challenges. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We look forward to seeing you at the track meet and appreciate your continued involvement in our program.
Â
Respectfully.
Â
