Commissioner Update:
I want to take a moment to thank you all for your continued dedication to our league and the incredible athletes we serve. Your passion is what keeps TAIAO thriving, and with that in mind, I’ve got some important updates to share as we head into spring.
First, a quick reminder: if you’ve got ideas for improving our league, now’s the time to speak up! Please submit any suggestions for changes to the TAIAO General Rules by March 15. Suggestions should be emailed to [email protected]. We value your input and want to make sure every voice is heard as we refine how we operate.
Mark your calendars for our Annual Meeting on June 7th in Waco! This year, we’re excited to offer breakout sessions for each sport, giving you a chance to dive deep into the topics that matter most to your teams. We’ll be recording the sessions for those who can’t make it, though we won’t be live-streaming—so plan to join us in person if you can. It’s always a great day of connection and collaboration.
On the website front, we’ve just posted a new resource to help clarify our transfer rules. Click here to view the post.
A heads-up on registration: as our league continues to grow, we’re now asking that all sports submit registrations within the first two weeks of the season. We’ve gotten too big to push this off until near postseason tournaments, so please plan ahead to keep things running smoothly for your athletes and our staff.
Speaking of growth, it’s been a remarkable year, and with that comes some big-picture thinking. The Steering Committee is exploring new rules that could affect sports scheduling teams outside of 1A-3A competition, or those with 50% or more of their athletes playing on non-TAIAO teams during our season. These potential changes aim to keep our league strong and fair for all, and we’ll keep you posted as discussions progress.
God Bless … Coach Golemon
