All Tournament Teams
The Regional tournament and the State tournament will each have an All-Tournament
team. This will be voted on by coaches after each game. The coach from the opposing team will
nominate up to 2 players they believe played the best overall. Votes will all be calculated and
the top 10-12 players with the most votes will be chosen to the All -Tournament team. This
means these girls had an outstanding performance for the tournament. All-tournament
recognition is not meant to reflect the whole season.
All State Teams
We will also have a TAIAO All-State team. This honor is set aside for those players who have
impacted your team in the greatest way for the ENTIRE season.
There will be an All-State team per each division of varsity. Skill of course should be your highest priority, but attitude can also be a factor. Coaches from each team can nominate up to 3 players per their varsity team.
The entries should be sent by clicking on this form. The list of the All-State nominees must be submitted by October 4th, 2024. If you do not submit your players, none will be awarded to your team. Not every team will be awarded an all-state player.
Teams who make it to the state championship as the 1st and 2nd seed will be given all 3 of their nominations. Teams who placed 3rd and 4th at regionals will be awarded 2 players each. Teams
who placed 5th and 6th at regionals will be awarded 1 player each.
The players who earn this recognition will be invited to play in the All-Star game in College Station during the weekend of the TAIAO State Championship. There is a cost of $50 to participate. This pays for the court rental, referees, player medal and lunch for the teams.
At the conclusion of the Regional tournament, during the awards ceremony, the all-tournament teams will be announced as well as the TAIAO All-State team. It should be a fun and exciting way to wrap up Regionals.
