There are several scenarios whereby TAIAO organizations need to file a transfer form. To help our members better understand what is required we have provided the following examples:
1. Athlete A played varsity volleyball at School A (a UIL Public School) the previous year and is a new student at Organization B (a TAIAO Organization)
Organization B needs to fill out a Non-TAIAO transfer form.
2. Athlete A played varsity soccer at Organization A (a TAIAO Organization) the previous year and is a new student at Organization B (a TAIAO Organization)
Organization B needs to fill out a TAIAO transfer form.
3. Athlete A played varsity softball at School A (a UIL Charter School) the previous year and is a new student at Organization B (a TAIAO Organization)
Organization B needs to fill out a Non-TAIAO transfer form.
4. Athlete A played junior high volleyball at School A (a TAPPS Private School) the previous year and is a new Freshman student at Organization B (a TAIAO Organization)
Organization B does not need to fill out a transfer form
5. Athlete A played football at School A (Non-TAIAO Homeschool Team) the previous year and is a new Freshman student at School B (a TAIAO Organization)
Organization B only needs to fill out a transfer form if the Athlete A turns 16 before May 31st. Â
6. Athlete A never played sports at School A (a TAPPS School) the previous year and is a Junior student at Organization B (a TAIAO Organization)
School B does not need to fill out a transfer form if the athlete has never played varsity (this includes JV and freshman teams) sports. The form needs to be completed if Athlete A has ever played ANY varsity sport.
7. Athlete A a club volleyball player (who has never been enrolled in a public or private school) is a new student at Organization B (a TAIAO Organization).
Organization B needs to fill out a Non-TAIAO transfer form.
