June 2024 Newsletter

Dear TAIAO Members,

It was an extremely productive annual meeting.  Thanks to all who attended the meeting and gave excellent feedback and those who are helping to revise our sports plans, fill our committees and help us prepare for the upcoming seasons.

Commissioner Update:

I have many folks to thank for the success of our annual meeting.  Thanks to Wayne Alldredge for being the continual sounding board of sage advice and a special thanks to Amy Perry and her team for hosting, feeding and recording the entire event

We were able to record most of the event and hope to have the video available by the middle of June.  We will be sending out an email to everyone once the video is available.

The 2024-2025 Membership Dues can be paid online (by clicking here) and the invoices have already been sent.  They will remain $350.00 if paid before July 31st.  From August 1 onward they will be $400.00 (if paid before the end of November) and $450.00 after December 1st.  

Registration has opened for all of the fall sports (football, cross country, volleyball and cheer)  You can register by clicking here.

There were several questions regarding the transfer of athletes from non-TAIAO organizations.  I am certain that I misunderstood the question, so please click here to read a clarifying statement on transfers. 

Finally, please be aware that we have a date for all events for next season (check our calendar) and we will have final sports plans and facilities before the end of July.

Member Spotlight:

This month I would like to highlight Solomon Lopez who is with Corpus Christi United and recently undertook to assist TAIAO with social media.  He has marketing experience in his professional career and has offered to assist us with growing our recognition around the state.

Sport Updates:

Please register for football, cheer, volleyball and cross country by  clicking here.

With the requirement to play TAIAO teams in most sports, many members want to know which sports TAIAO organizations field. This will soon be added to the website after teams have paid their registration for the 2024-2025 season.

Announcements:

We have posted on our events calendar all of the postseason tournament dates and locations for football, volleyball, cross country, basketball and soccer.  The spring sports will be posted in May.
