Glad to see May has arrived because April was a whirlwind of activity with postseason events for five sports. We are gearing up for the Annual Meeting on June 1st and we strongly encourage you to have some members attend.

Commissioner Update:
I have many folks to thank for the success of our postseason events at the end of April. Jeff Clements (Baseball), Shantel Leininger (Track), Britt Holt (Golf), Doug O’Neill (Softball) and Karen Gopffarth (Tennis) who headed up these events along with the volunteers.
I was able to attend most of the events and it will assist me with putting the finishing touches on the sports plans that will be made available at the annual meeting. Please register for the Annual Meeting as we strongly encourage every organization to have someone in attendance. Click here to register
The 2024-2025 Membership Dues can be paid online (by clicking here) and the invoices will be going out the first week of May. They will remain $350.00 if paid before July 31st. From August 1 onward they will be $400.00 (if paid before the end of November) and $450.00 after December 1st.
Registration has opened for all of the fall sports (football, cross country, volleyball and cheer) You can register by clicking here.
A reminder that the Steering Committee made several changes to the General Rules in March. A detailed description of the changes can be viewed by clicking here. The full updated version of the General Rules is online here. Furthermore, we will be working on getting final sports plans for every sport with revisions to all current plans. We will send an email with a link when they are available online.

Member Spotlight:
This month I would like to highlight Shantel Leininger who headed up our three track meets. She was instrumental in making sure our South Regional took place given some difficulties with the venue. She also helped me to better understand what the expectations are and the operational elements of a meet.
Track is one of the sports where we will be working hard this summer to revamp so that it is much clearer on what the expectations are for TAIAO member organizations and how we can make it much better.
