Commissioner Update
We are working to better communicate with members. To this end, we appreciate any feedback as to what we can post on the website. We have created a page for every sport, we have broken each sport into sections including General Info, Post Season, Eligibility, etc.
Furthermore, we have done our best to implement online bracket systems where changes in games, teams, etc can be communicated immediately. We have yet to get this in place for all sports but that is our goal.
I would kindly ask all members to communicate through email as this is the best way for us to keep a written record of what is being communicated. I realize that some conversations need to take place and, in those instances, Jason or I are usually the representatives who will be communicating.
It is very important that all organizations understand the registration process for every postseason event. Registration allows us to coordinate weeks out with our facilities. Payment deadlines ensure teams will be attending. Finally, rosters allow us to ensure compliance with player eligibility. Compliance with our timetables provides our staff ample time to coordinate and ensure the success of our postseason events.
April will be very busy with seven TAIAO postseason events taking place over a three week period. Please do not wait until the last minute to check the website for periodic updates in each sport. Also, please ask your families and fans to use the site as a means to purchase tickets in advance and get event specific information.
God Bless
Brent Golemon

This month I want to thank three individuals who helped us to pull off the first eve TAIAO State Soccer tournament. Recognition goes to Nathan Ellis (NCTA), Jeff Myers (Westlake) and Kristin Ianniciello (Austin Royals) who worked together to secure 8 teams for an inaugural tournament.Â
It was just over a decade ago that 8 football teams came together to start TAIAO. You have to start somewhere and for several of our sports these are the foundational roots from which more diverse and competitive postseason play will grow.
Thanks again to all three and mark your calendars for the 2025 Soccer Tournament which will be held in Georgetown on February 28th and March 1st in 2025!
Sport Updates
Congratulations to TAIAO State Soccer Champions:
- Men’s Champion North Central Texas Academy
- Women’s Champion Westlake Academy
Registration for all spring sports ends March 23rd. Payments for fees and membership dues (if not already paid) are due by April 6th. All postseason play will be seeded with organizations that have registered and paid. No late registrations will be accepted.
Special thanks to The Winston for the use of their gym for our state finals basketball games. Championship games and the first ever basketball All Star games that will take place March 2nd.
You do not need a team to participate in golf, tennis and track & field. However, if you have athletes that would like to compete then be sure to register your organization as only athletes from registered teams can compete.
