Commissioner Update
February marks the end of my first three weeks at the helm of TAIAO. I am pleased to report that our league has never been better as it is poised for tremendous growth in 2024. We have already welcomed four new members and we anticipate greater participation in all winter and spring postseason events.
We have a new billing system, budget system, website and each sport has the needed committee leadership to ensure postseason play which will provide our members and their athletes with a first rate experience.
We have begun the process of ensuring all programs understand and abide by the athlete eligibility requirements of TAIAO. We have posted pertinent information under all sports on our website, begun requiring the submission of rosters for postseason play and made it much easier for organizations to comply with accessible online forms.
Jason Knight has continued his role of helping to grow TAIAO as he works with those considering TAIAO as their future home. Furthermore, he continues to support our committee chairs as they prepare for upcoming events. He remains your point of contact with postseason play if you are unable to get questions answered by committee chairs.
I look forward to hearing from you .. however, remember a call to me with a problem or concern always runs the risk of you heading up the solution!
God Bless
Brent Golemon

Member Spotlight
This month we would like to spotlight Coach Kenny Yates from NCTA and Coach Edie Miller from the San Antonio Saints. These two coaches stepped up, and on short notice and organized our first ever state volleyball and basketball tournaments with regionals. Â
It is difficult to throw a single tournament with over 70 teams but to do three tournaments is all the more impressive. Their selfless leadership should not go unheralded and if you get a chance please thank them both for their herculean efforts.
Sport Updates
We are in the process of putting in place sports plans for all of our sports. Currently, only football, basketball and volleyball have sports plans. If you would like to assist, please reach out to me ([email protected]).
We have instituted a new policy whereby teams must submit payment and rosters to participate in postseason play. Rosters are required so we can ensure each athlete meets our eligibility requirements or has obtained the necessary exemptions. Advance payments are necessary for us to secure the best facilities for our postseason play.
We are in need of additional committee members for most sports. If you are willing to assist please, contact Jason at [email protected]
