Commissioner Update:
TAIAO’s framework includes a robust set of rules and regulations, which can sometimes present challenges in reconciling apparent inconsistencies across our Sports Plans, General Rules, and Constitution. For enforcement purposes, please prioritize the following hierarchy:
- TAIAO Constitution: Unappealable and foundational.
- General Rules: Primary guidelines, with appeals directed to the Steering Committee.
- Individual Sports Plans: Helpful supplementary resources, appealable solely to the Commissioner.
As TAIAO has expanded, our Sports Plans have grown more varied, leading to discrepancies that have occasionally conflicted with the Constitution or General Rules—and caused understandable confusion. Two years ago, we launched a comprehensive reconciliation process for all three documents. If you encounter any inconsistencies, we welcome your feedback to help refine them.
Enhancing the Sports Plans remains the core responsibility of our dedicated Sports Committees. We’re urgently seeking volunteers for several sports—most of the work occurs during the off-season. If you’re able to contribute, please reach out to me directly.
Many of you have likely spotted our new professional vendor at recent events, offering custom TAIAO merchandise. The response has been outstanding, with over $2,500 in commissions to date! Not only does TAIAO receive a share of the profits, but we’ve also eliminated our longstanding losses on items like t-shirts.
Quick Reminder for All Organizations: Head to the TAIAO website for the latest on postseason events. Due to the volume of high school and middle school activities, we can’t reach every coach directly. Our policy remains to communicate via the primary email provided during team registration for each sport. To ensure smooth information flow, please confirm that the listed contact is best positioned to share sport-specific updates.
God Bless … Coach Golemon
