COACHES
Coaches Meetings Friday in both locations:
- 7:30am Varsity & Middle School
Coaches get wristbands at the gate from the line reserved for tickets purchased online. If your coach is not on the list then they will need to pay. Coaches can not be added at the event. Organizations have until 10/6 to register your coaches. Coaches passes can be ordered by athletic directors by clicking here.Â
BRACKETS
(North Bracket) & (South Bracket). These will be listed as final as soon as possible. Any questions, after reading the caveats below can be sent to commissioner@taiao.org.Â
Please do not contact us with a request to change your time. We have very limited space and our criteria for brackets is in this order 1. we do not exceed the amount of court time we have purchased 2. we maximize rented courts and official costs 3. teams do not have to play back to back (unless its unavoidable) 4. we get three teams for all varsity divisions so we can have a state final 5. varsity teams play their MaxPreps seeded opponents by TAIAO rule 6. get all teams at least 4 games at the tournamentÂ
Because of the priorities above, the following are not able to be considered:
- The distance a team travels
- Coaches that have to coach both varsity and middle school teams
- School day schedules
Each team plays two pool games (with the exception of D1). If you are in a 3 team pool then you will play both the other teams. If you are in a 4 team pool then you will only play 2 of the three teams.
It is important to note that consolation is terminology we use for the teams who continue to play after losing in the first round of the single elimination bracket play. Consolation is not 3rd place. It is simply the winner of the teams that were eliminated in the first round of bracket play.Â
ALL STATE
There will be an All-State team per each division of varsity. Skill of course should be your highest priority, but attitude can also be a factor. Coaches from each team can nominate up to 3 players per their varsity team.
The entries should be sent by clicking on this link. The list of the All-State nominees must be submitted by October 7th, 2025. If you do not submit your players, none will be awarded to your team. Not every team will be awarded an all-state player.
Teams who make it to the state championship as the 1st and 2nd seed will be given all 3 of their nominations. Teams who placed 3rd and 4th at regionals will be awarded 2 players each. Teams who placed 5th and 6th at regionals will be awarded 1 player each.
The players who earn this recognition will be invited to play in the All-Star game in College Station during the weekend of the TAIAO State Championship. There is a cost of $50 to participate. This pays for the court rental, referees, player medal and lunch for the teams.
At the conclusion of the Regional tournament, during the awards ceremony, the all-tournament teams will be announced as well as the TAIAO All-State team.
