A few quick reminders:
- All matches are 2 of 3
- Regional Finals & 3rd place match for D1, D2 and D2 is 3 of 5 (if time permits)
- All teams need to bring their own warm up balls
- Work teams (WT) for regionals will be updated on AES and we will post a WT schedule for regionals before the tournament (Click here to view the WT schedule)
- During bracket play, the losing team stays on the court to work the next game. WT will be assigned in AES. Please check AES frequently!
- Awards Ceremony for regionals and finals will be at the end of tournament play.

GATE TIMES:Â Â
For both locations (North & South) gates will open at 7:15 am for coaches and players. Gates will open to spectators at 7:40am with the first games starting at 8:00am
**We strongly encourage you to purchase tickets online to avoid long lines**
FACILITY RULES:
- No outside food or drink allowed inside the building. If teams bring coolers for their teams, they need to remain outside of the facility.
- We will have a full concession stand open throughout the tournament.
- No pop up tents in the parking lot. No tailgating set ups.
- No outside lawn chairs are allowed in the facility. Bleacher chairs are allowed.
- No balloons of any sort will be allowed inside the building.
- No stereos or boomboxes will be allowed to be played inside the building.
ADMISSION:
Ticket sales will be conducted at the entry of each facility and can be purchased in advance by clicking here. Daily admission will be $15 for adults and $10 for students (ages 5-18 children under 5 are free). Two day admission can be purchased for $25 dollars for adults and $15 for students. We will not be accepting cash. Credit, Debit or Venmo are accepted.Â
If you would like to purchase a Family Pass for both days at $80.00 (covers 2 adults and up to 5 children). Family Passes are available until October 16th at 5:00pm. You will need to make the payment at the time of filling out the form to receive the pass.

Divisions 1-3 are varsity and division 4 is the middle school bracket. We are adjusting some of the teams so these brackets are currently provisional and we will post them as final as soon as we can.

Work Team information: When you are the work team your team will provide:
- Down ref
- Two line judges
- Three people at the score table to do A. book, B. libero tracking, and C. scoreboard.
TOURNAMENT SHIRTS/FAN GEAR:
All shirts will be available for purchase as the regional and state tournaments. Shirts will be customized onsite (number, name, etc) to learn more click here.

TAIAO VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT RULES/GUIDELINES
GAME GUIDELINES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Home team will be responsible for providing the “Down Ref” during regional play.
- Losing team will be responsible for providing the “Down Ref” during bracket play.
- Pool play will be the best 2-of-3
- Bracket play will be the best 2-of3 for all MS games and varsity games except 3-of-5 (if time allows) for finals and 3rd place varsity.
NFHS RULES SUMMARY (added 10/1 @ 10am)
- Teams: 6 players per side to start (can continue with fewer due to injury); unlimited teammates/coaches on bench.
- Scoring: Rally point system—win sets to 25 (by 2 pts). If a third (or 5th) set is needed it will be played to 15.
- Rotations & Serving: Clockwise rotation; serve from behind end line within 5 seconds (no toss required). Can’t attack serve if ball is above net from front/back of attack line.
- Hits & Plays: Max 3 team contacts; double hits OK on 2nd contact if teammate plays next. Blocking opponent’s side allowed post-attack.
- Violations: Net touch = fault (except hair or ball force); feet over centerline OK if some part on/above line—other body parts crossing floor = illegal.
TAIAO STATE TOURNAMENT FORMAT Â
DIVISIONAL BREAKDOWN:
- There will be three Varsity Divisions (DI, DII and DIII). (Division 1 will be the higher or more competitive division)
- All divisions will be in bracket play on the second day at regionals and pool play the first day.
- Awards will be given to the first through third place teams. The top 3 teams from each division will advance to the state tournament.
- Bracket play will be a single elimination format at regionals with a third place and consolation game.
- The Middle School teams will compete in the same region as their varsity team has been placed. The middle school tournament will end at regionals (aka not going to state).
- Tie breaking procedures within pools are in the following order:
- If head-to-head competition does not break ties, then set record will be used and then finally point differential between teams within the pool will be used to determine seeding.Â
- If point differential does not break the tie, a coin flip will be administered.Â
