The TAIAO policy for dividing teams into divisions and regions is outlined in Part A of the Volleyball Athletic Plan. Region and division assignments are set for all member organizations in good standing as of August Sept 1st each year.
This season, with three divisions, the criteria are adjusted as follows: Division 1 includes teams with a roster count of 15 or more players, and more than 20 years of combined club/select player experience. Division 1 also includes teams where more than 20% of their schedule involves 3A to 6A TAPPS or UIL schools.
Division 2 includes teams with more than 9 players and less than 20 years of combined club/select experience but more than 4 years of combined club/select players.
Division 3 is designated for teams with little to no club experience and smaller rosters (fewer than 9 players).
